INTERNATIONAL KILOS PARU PARO FILIPINO SYSTEM WARRIOR ARTS

The Filipino Martial Arts is one of the most complete martial arts systems in the world. It was designed for military purposes, and survival training in the truest sense because it means life-or-death. The applications for self-defense are numerous.

While realizing the value that the Filipino Martial Arts and what it brings in addressing real world violence, survival and self-defense. The study of this Martial Art began and after many years of intensive study, research and personal experience in the Filipino Martial Arts, Tuhon Salvador Moralez, Jr. developed and founded the Kilos Paru Paro Filipino System as an authentic Filipino Martial Art that makes use of a great deal of concept and principle-based training with enhanced critical thinking practices in order to accomplish the application of Filipino Martial Arts to a variety of different situations relating to real world violence.

The Kilos Paru Paro Filipino System is a highly evolved, counterattack system designed to meet the needs of society’s present day conflict issues, while retaining the values and traditions of the warrior arts of the Philippines. Confronted with ever-changing times and attitudes, martial arts must evolve. The Kilos Paru Paro Filipino System offers a dynamic philosophy on a well-rounded method of combat.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SYSTEM
Kilos Paru Paro means movement of the butterfly, so named for the characteristic mental and continuous movements mimicking a butterfly in flight which is a unique trademark of the system. This combative strategy makes it very difficult for the opponent apply a response.
The key to this system is a working knowledge of dynamic angles of attack and the ability to strike the opponent at angles that are difficult to detect – giving it a “blind spot” approach. This allows for a “you can’t stop what you don’t see coming approach”.
The system works off, of various angles and complementary angles, both of which are performed in a continues non-stop manner. It is both an armed or unarmed system which utilizes impact and edged weapons with a weapon transparency philosophy which also employs very distinctive actions of opening, closing, and rotational movements that are revealed during its application.
Another aspect of the system is to adept at almost every type of weapon and or to use of an improvised weapon. If a practitioner loses their weapon(s), he must be able to continue the fight with bare hands and a mission driven focus of mind and body. There is no such thing as a Filipino practitioner without weapons. Everything on or around him can be converted into a weapon thus bringing a weapon transparency to the forefront. This is done by way of using impact weapons (blunt force trauma), cutting and stabbing weapons.
Our main principle and objective of this Filipino System is to disrupt or destroy the attacker’s ability to use his/her weapon(s) immediately which can be accomplished in various ways. Our training reveals the truth regarding traditional vs. non-traditional disarming strategies.
Acknowledging its roots in what is recognized as the Filipino Martial Arts System and style of the Philippine Islands such as Kali, Eskrima, and Arnis, and like many other precedent and contemporaneous systems in employing an integrative approach, the Kilos Paru Paro Filipino System has also evolved with its own uniquely styled combative, self-defense and counterattack tactics focusing on constant, contiguous movement hence, the name.

ORIGIN OF THE SYSTEM:
Although already a recognized Master of the martial arts in my own right, Sulite suggested that the study and understanding of Filipino Martial Arts would enhance my overall ability as a martial artist.
With the passage of time and the continued progression of the now burgeoning system, Grandmaster Sulite would remain a great inspiration for the continues development of the system.
In 1998, through the notable efforts, recommendations, and research of Tuhon Gaudiosa Ruby, Director of the United States Kali Association, and in consultation with other members of the Association this new system achieved its status of recognition, Salvador Moralez was able to gain recognition and awarded the title pf Grandmaster/ Punong Guro. Tuhon Gaudiosa Ruby had the distinctive honor of naming the system which would become known to the world as the Kilos Paru Paro Filipino System.
In 2000 GM Punong Guro was given the title of Tuhon and Founder of the Kilos Paru Paro Filipino System by Dr. Tuhon Gaudiosa Ruby Director of the United State Kali Association.
In 2004 the Kilos Paru Paro Filipino made its international debut on the world stage in Las Vegas Nevada, with a presentation of the system before a board of Grand Masters from all over the world to include the Philippines.
In 2005, the Kilos Paru Paro System were recognized and made an affiliate of Arnis Philippines, 33rd member of the Philippine Olympic Committee by Grand Master Roland Dantes Chairman International Affairs Committee. As a result, the Kilos Paru Paro Filipino System has been taught to hundreds of narcotics investigators and undercover officers for the Texas Department of Public Safety Narcotics Division and various other related departments on both a state and local level within the Great State of Texas.
The Kilos Paru Paro Filipino System continues in addressing and instructing counter assault tactics training for Law Enforcement and persons from all social classes to this very day.
